Enterprise Networks vs Social Networks
Whatsapp of Facebook vs Slack of Salesforce
It has been mentioned in technology circles that efforts have been made to commercialize WhatsApp for a while.
More than two billion people around the world have been using Facebook owned WhatsApp, since 2014. People use WhatApp for texting and making phone calls, unfortunately Facebook cannot make any money from it. This is because WhatsApp is a very personal communication platform.
Facebook is redesigning WhatsApp to engage businesses and align business communication needs to make money from it. If they can succeed, it will be able to change our shopping habits forever.
Facebook is currently monetizing advertisements from businesses on their main social network(Facebook) and Instagram. However, this method does not work in WhatsApp, which has a very personal use.
Instead, with the planned purchase of Kustomer, a startup that helps businesses manage customer service with chat apps(Chat CRM). Their plan looks like creating a call center for the whatsapp users. With their digital currency idea, we can also predict that Facebook is trying to make WhatsApp, a 21st century product catalog.
Although it is not very certain what will happen, considering Facebook's personal information database and customer behavior it is clear that it will be indispensable for companies.
Salesforce Taking Slack
By the way, we see an effort similar to the one I described above in Sales Force. The company announced that they bought Slack, a messaging platform like WhatsApp, for $ 27.7 billion.
As you know, Salesforce is a CRM (Customer Relationship Management), company and they are the Market Leader for the last 10 years. This alone is enough to show how customer relationship management will evolve in the future. Thanks to pandemic, now it is even accelerated, due to new digital habits born from the pandemic.
Moreover, there are many other companies that purchase similar investments and similar collaborative communication software other than these two; There are many mid and large organizations focusing on workplace collaboration products, including Airtable, Asana, Box, DocuSign, Dropbox and Smartsheet, for example Adobe wants to buy Workfront.
In fact, everyone is after data. Who has more data will win the competition!

IBM to lay off 10,000 people
IBM plans to lay off about 10,000 people in Europe by the first half of 2021 to cut costs in the slow-growing services unit and the company prepare their new Openshift oriented service orientation.
The company, which has decided to focus on hybrid cloud and artificial intelligence, is said to be the biggest hit by legacy IT services, which are daily operations that include managing customer data centers.
IBM has also announced that they will train their remaining employees so they can develop new skill sets ... We think this is just the beginning. As we said many times before, it is necessary to increase our skills that we can adapt to the technologies of the future, not putting all our eggs to the same basket.
What I see from here is a huge opportunity, those legacy systems needs to be maintained in the future. IBM veterans will have an opportunity to continue with those old technologies.

Microsoft Edge on Linux
Microsoft released a new version of Edge for Linux.
The new version makes the Chromium-based Edge browser available on all major operating systems, desktop and mobile devices.
Enterprise developers, who would like to use Linux, can create and test web applications on their preferred platform. This move paves the way for Microsoft to position Edge as the browser for work.
Edge for Linux currently supports Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, and openSUSE distributions. Developers can install Edge from the Microsoft Edge Insider site (download and install) or Microsoft's Linux Software Repository (command line install).

Installing Flatpak on Linux
There are many ways to install a software package on Linux. You can use package managers such as apt for Debian based distributions and yum for RHEL based distributions. If the packages are not available in official repositories, you can use existing PPAs (for Debian distributions) or install using DEB or RPM packages.
If you're not a fan of using the terminal, Software Center can provide you with a much easier way to install apps. If all else fails, you still have the option to build from source.
So what is Flatpak?
"Flatpak is written in C, a package management tool that allows users to install and run applications in a sandboxed or isolated environment."
“Installing Flatpak is a 2-step procedure. First you need to install Flatpak using your distribution's package manager and then add the Flatpak repository (Flathub) from where the applications will be installed. ”

Using MacOS on Linux without any problems
If you want to use a Linux desktop and use MacOS, it's easy now. Don't bother with where to download macOS and how to set it up, you will install with just one command.
What you need is a good internet connection and a Linux server. There is a script that downloads and installs your chosen version of MacOS over the Internet.
